Middle Way Psychotherapy

Compassionate, evidence-based sex therapy

Sex Therapy in Brooklyn & Online

Talking about sex and intimacy can feel vulnerable — and that’s exactly why it matters to find a therapist who makes it feel safe.

At Middle Way, our sex therapist Taylor Borsina, LMSW, CST, specializes in helping individuals and couples navigate the complexities of sexual health, desire, and connection with warmth and without judgment.

Whether you’re experiencing changes in desire, navigating intimacy after trauma, working through differences with a partner, or exploring your relationship with your own sexuality — you don’t have to figure it out alone.

What sex therapy is

Sex therapy is talk therapy — it takes place in a comfortable office setting (or on a video call) and does not involve any physical contact or nudity.

Many people find that even naming what they’re going through brings relief. The work is trauma-informed, sex-positive, and grounded in curiosity rather than pressure.

What people bring to sex therapy

  • Difficulty staying present during sex
  • Shame or negative beliefs about sexuality
  • Healing from past sexual experiences or trauma
