Middle Way Psychotherapy

Federal disclosure, No Surprises Act

Your right to a Good Faith Estimate.

If you are uninsured, or if you are not using insurance to pay for therapy, federal law gives you the right to a written estimate of what your care will cost before you receive it.

Required disclosure

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-800-985-3059.

How to request a Good Faith Estimate from Middle Way

Reach us at (718) 635-1228 or email info@middlewayhealing.com. Tell us you would like a Good Faith Estimate, and we will send one in writing before your first session. You can also ask for an estimate at any point during care.

A note on cost

Understanding what therapy will cost, before you begin.

We know that cost matters, and that not knowing what something will cost can be a barrier to reaching out. The Good Faith Estimate is one tool to help. If you have questions about fees, sliding scale, or how sessions are structured, please ask. We are happy to talk it through before you schedule anything.

If you have questions about your estimate, your bill, or how we work with self-pay clients, reach out. We’ll take the time to answer.
